Scheme :

Manipur Sericulture Project phase-II (mulberry) under NERTPS in 4 valley districts viz. Thoubal, Bishnupur, Imphal East and Imphal West. The total project cost is Rs. 149.75 Cr. The sharing pattern of the project is 80:10:10 (Centre : State: Beneficiary)

Integrated Sericulture Development Project (mulberry & eri) for 5 hill districts viz., Chandel, Senapati, Kangpokpi, Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Churachandpur. The total project cost is Rs. 30.39 Cr. The sharing pattern of the project is 80:10:10 (Centre : State: Beneficiary)

Catalytic Development Programme (CDP) and Rastriya Kishan Vikash Yojana (RKVY) are the two are CSS by Central Silk Board and Agriculture Department respectively. The CDP schemes are now discontinued except implementation of backlog portion. However, for RKVY 2015-16 the project cost is Rs. 4.00 Cr. with sharing of 50:50 between Centre and State.

In case of Catalytic Development Programme (CDP) is a unique and effective tool for transfer of technologies in the field evolved by Research Institutes. It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS). The Programme supplements the efforts of State Governments to improve the quality and production of raw silk, besides generating employment opportunities, particularly in the rural areas. The Sharing Patterns of most of the Schemes are as 80%-Central, 10%-State & 10%-Benef. respectively. Some of the Schemes are shared as 90%-Central, 10% - State share whereas some of the schemes are entirely borne by CSB as 100% share.

Objectives :
The Scheme would catalyze the efforts of States to increase production of raw silk including superior quality Bivoltine Silk, increase cumulative employment opportunities particularly in the rural areas & exports. Implementing Agencies :

The Central Silk Board in collaboration with States, Non-Governmental Organizations, Self-help Groups & Co-operatives Societies etc. Implementation & Activities : The implementation of CDP schemes has started since IX-Plan period(2001-02) and will be continued upto XII-Plan(2014-15) in the State of Manipur.

The Central Silk Board(CSB) had released funds for an amount of Rs.10,08,33,000/- in the following 3(three) quarterly basis for implementation of Catalytic Development Programme (CDP) for the year 2013-14 in the State.

(i)  Rs.9,76,37,000/-(Central Share)- A/c payee cheque No.007429 dated 30-09-2013(Ist Quarter)
(ii) Rs.7,00,000/-(Central Share)- A/c payee cheque No.011082 dated 05-03-2014(2nd Quarter)
(iii)Rs.24,96,000/-(Central Share)-A/c payee cheque No.002668 dated 06- 06- 2014(3rd Quarter)
    Rs.10,08,33,000/- (Total i+ii+iii)

The State Matching Share for an amount of 1,23,73,960/- had released by the Govt. of Manipur in the following 2(two) quarterly basis for implementation of Catalytic Development Programme (CDP) for the year 2013-14.

(i)  Rs. 64,00,000/-(State Share)-Sanctioned Order No. 22/19/2012-Seri(CDP) dated 27-03-2014(Ist Quarter)
(ii) Rs. 59,73,960/-(State Share)-Sanctioned Order No. 22/19/2012-Seri(CDP) dated 27-03-2014(2nd Quarter)
    Rs.1,23,73,960/-(Total i+ii)

Accordingly, the Deptt. of Sericulture, Manipur had released Subsidy amount of Central & State Share to the beneficiaries of all districts based on the allotted Physical targets under CDP for the year 2013-14.
